Silver Anniversary for BPR Medical’s Julie Hallam

Having recently received her award for 25 years of service with BPR Medical, we spoke with Julie Hallam about her experience and what changes she has observed over the years.

Julie started her BPR employment as a temporary cleaner for a few weeks, though her talents were quickly spotted, and she was quickly employed to work on the ‘Medicure’ device project (Julie’s previous employment included electronic wiring).

Julie’s vast experience and no-nonsense approach to work has garnered her a reputation of being referred to as ‘the Boss’ by many of her colleagues and even Managing Director, Richard Radford.

Throughout her time, Julie has seen many changes including:

  • Distribution channels selling into over 30 countries
  • Design and manufacture of Queens award-winning medical devices
  • Investment in industry leading manufacturing technology
  • Achievement of quality and regulatory certifications
  • Staff and site expansion

Above the national average for employment stay

Typically, a UK worker will change employer every 5 years on average. However, Julie’s longevity at BPR far outweighs the UK national average and BPR average of 7.5 years.
