BPR Medical Investors in People Award - 2006
As the old business cliché goes, ‘people are an organisation’s greatest asset’. But how many companies actually believe it or, more importantly, act to ensure that they are?
The Investors In People award is an internationally recognised management system that drives the development of an organisation through the development of the people working within it.
Investors In People covers issues such as: ensuring that the business strategy is communicated and understood by everyone, recognising and valuing the role of people within the company, ensuring that people continue to develop and measuring the impact of the process on achieving the business objectives.
From the very beginning, BPR Medical has always invested in training and skill development at all levels in the organisation, but the Investors In People standard helped to formalise the process and mesh it in with the company’s existing quality system.
The award was presented in March 2006 by Paul Elliot of Mansfield Rugby Union Football Club (the only amateur sports club ever to have received the award) and Matt Murphy, Nottinghamshire Business Link board director following an audit in January 2006.
