BPR Medical Ltd wins Medilink EM Innovation Award

At the recent Medilink East Midlands Award Ceremony held at the Athena Conference Centre in Leicester BPR Medical won the prestigious Healthcare and Bioscience Innovation Award for its FireSafe™ product group, fighting of strong competition from several other high profile East Midlands companies.

Guest speaker at the evening event was Richard Farleigh, more recently famous for his appearances on the BBC's Dragons Den. Richard also presented the award to David Peel, Engineering Director at BPR Medical.

BPR have over the past few years developed a range of products under the FireSafe™ banner that dramatically reduce the risk posed by patients who continue to smoke whilst undergoing Oxygen Therapy. The range includes a FireSafe™ Cannula devised for the Homecare market, this product now numbers over 1,000,000 units sold into two continents.
From this original product BPR have developed a further range of Oxygen Flowmeter nozzles to fit existing oxygen flowmeters that are in the field and more impressivley a complete Oxygen Flowmeter with FireSafe™ technology and many other innovative features.

BPR are continuing to develop export markets for the FireSafe™ range, currently focusing on mainland Europe, North America and Australasia, with the support of UK Trade and Investment.
